Who we are
Grove is a product of Rose Tinsley Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15880463). Our registered address is 22 Clover Avenue, Feering, CO5 9GF. You can contact us at hello@quietgrove.co.
We are the data controller for the personal data you provide when using Grove.
What we collect and why
Account data (name, email address)
We collect this to create and manage your account. The legal basis is performance of a contract. We cannot provide Grove without it.
Data you create in Grove (time entries, client records, projects, tasks, social posts)
We store this on your behalf to provide the service. The legal basis is performance of a contract.
Usage data (pages visited, features used)
We collect basic analytics to understand how the product is used and to improve it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in developing a working product. This data does not identify you individually.
How we use your data
We use your data to provide Grove, to contact you about your account, and to improve the product. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Who we share your data with
We share data with the following third-party processors, who act on our instructions and are bound by data processing agreements:
- Supabase Inc (United States) — database and authentication infrastructure
- Vercel Inc (United States) — application hosting and delivery
We do not share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.
International transfers
Supabase and Vercel process data in the United States. Both operate under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office, which provide an appropriate level of protection for your data.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and app data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records by law (for example, financial records, which we keep for six years under UK law). Anonymised usage analytics are retained indefinitely.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict how we process your data in certain circumstances
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@quietgrove.co. We will respond within five working days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. Our ICO registration number is ZB912946.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and make the app work. No tracking cookies. No advertising cookies.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We take daily backups. We will give you reasonable notice before making any change that affects how your data is stored or processed.
Your data is isolated at the database level using row-level security. This means Grove's database is configured so that each user's records are only accessible to that user. We do not routinely access individual user data. We may do so where necessary to resolve a support request, investigate a technical issue, or comply with a legal obligation.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect.
